Manny’s story

Manny discovered his love for basketball at the age of eight, joining his first club shortly after and progressing quickly through competitive environments. By U11, he was already competing in the NBL, laying the foundation for his development as a high-level guard.

Since then, Manny has continued to grow through consistent work ethic and discipline. He trains daily, both within and outside of team sessions, and takes pride in his fitness, preparation, and approach to the game.

Manny has a strong understanding of the sport and its history, particularly at NBA level.

Known for his defensive intensity, physicality, confidence, and ball-handling, Manny plays with strong court vision, valuing decision-making and team success.
A natural leader, he is vocal and supportive of teammates on and off the court.

Away from competition, Manny gives back to the game by coaching his school’s Year 7 basketball team, an effort that led to his nomination for a Jack Petchey Award.
He also runs a monthly summer community initiative ‘Streetball Society’ creating a positive space for young players to connect and compete through organised 3v3 tournaments.
